    In der Fotoarbeit „Headlights I“ und der Videoarbeit „Headlights II“ fokussiert Hodel einen hochglanzpolierten Autoscheinwerfer, der den Stadt- und Naturraum nicht mehr direkt zeigt, sondern nur noch verformte Reflektionen des sich spiegelnden Aussenraums abbildet.

    Der Autoscheinwerfer sieht Hodel als Exempel für Hyperdesign, das weit über die jeweilige Funktion des designten Objektes gestaltet wird. In der Foto- und Videoarbeit wird die Stadt nur noch via Reflektionen in den spiegelnden Flächen des Hyperdesigns ersichtlich. Der Blick auf die Stadt - die zeitgenössisch interpretierte Vedute - wird vom Design dominiert.
